Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address submitted through a search form goes to the outside provider that returns the search result. San Angelo Residents Directory does not keep a copy of that query. A message sent directly to us contains only the details in that message and is used to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our host may retain routine server information such as an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to operate the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
Limited information helps operate the reference, address technical problems, measure aggregate traffic, and improve the material. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
County and state portals, library collections, archives, and search tools linked here have their own privacy practices. Their policies govern information submitted to them. Sponsored results are also supplied by an outside company.
Data Recipients
Providers that host or support the service may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it and otherwise only as this policy describes.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. No account, password, or personal profile is maintained here for a visitor.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted information so it can be removed.
Texas Privacy Choices
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Tex. Bus. & Com. Code chapter 541, provides access, correction, deletion, copy, and opt-out rights for personal data held by covered businesses. Because little direct information is retained here, a request normally involves reviewing the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing applicable material. Use the Contact page for that request.
Government-held records require a request to their custodian. The Texas Public Information Act, Tex. Gov't Code ch. 552, governs written requests for existing public records, but it does not override record-specific confidentiality. For example, vital-record access remains subject to Tex. Gov't Code §552.115 and the eligibility rules of the appropriate Texas, Tom Green County, or San Angelo office.
Updates to This Policy
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
